Welcome to an exciting new era for Customers Bank!
Founded in 1997 as New Century Bank, its five branches became important financial components of the Philadelphia area, known to local businesses and families for reliable service and vigorous support of community development.
Customers Bank is building on that heritage with a new vision and values sharply focused on exceptional customer service. In fact, Customers Bank stands for a new way of banking, always putting customers first by delivering an unrivaled level of convenient banking.
This unique level of banking convenience includes appointment and concierge banking™ available 12 hours a day/7 days a week, individualized financial packages, advanced online banking tools, including the ability to open accounts at customers' homes and offices and direct access to senior management.
In addition to its focus on memorable customer service, the bank expects to grow. Beginning in 2009, it added new locations in its core Philadelphia area and acquired two banks in the last half of 2010, expanding its operations into neighboring counties and states. These acquisitions included USA Bank of Port Chester, NY and ISN Bank in Cherry Hill, NJ. The acquisition of Berkshire Bancorp was completed on September 17, 2011.
As a result, the bank has grown from its original five branches in the suburbs of Philadelphia to 14 offices in three states -- Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
The bank's assets have increased to $3.2 billion as of December 31, 2012.
The management team plans to build Customers Bank by providing exceptional value, service and convenience to all its customers.
