Nick Robinson

Nick Robinson brings a wealth of experience to the position of Chief Risk Officer at Customers Bank. In a career spanning more than 25 years, Robinson has led risk management, compliance and operations initiatives for some of the world’s most admired companies.

At Customers Bank, his responsibilities include identifying and assessing risk; overseeing critical programs such as BSA/AML third-party risk management and credit review; and ensuring that the Bank has a robust risk management culture.

Most recently, Robinson served as Chief Risk Officer for Capital One’s commercial division. In this role he oversaw risk management activities across the division and spearheaded numerous programs, including BSA/AML, that transformed the division’s performance in the eyes of customers and regulators. Prior, he served as President of Capital One’s Home Loans business and was Global Chief Operating Officer at WorldPay, one of Europe’s largest private equity owned financial services businesses. Robinson also spent nearly eight years at Lloyds Banking Group/HBOS.

He earned a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Cambridge and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Robinson also serves as a Vice Chairman of the YMCA of NYC where he leads the Audit and Compliance Committee and is a member of the organization’s Executive and Finance Committees.
